Does anyone know any adult DW communities on LJ? I don't really mean adult as in where I can find smut stories and the likes, I just want to know if there is a place out there that is devoid of hyperventilating teenagers who are drolling and giggling over DT like crazy. Okay.... I tend to do that now and then as well, but I am just sick of those teenies who need to post about everything they have done in school and do in school and are about to do in school and why just because it was inspired by something on DW or just because DT is squee and yada yada yada. So.... am I asking to much? Please tell me I am not and that there is an adult DW community out there somewhere pretty please!

I understand what you mean. And don't think you are asking too much. If you find a good one, let me know.

Thanks. I am just getting so ticked off by all the Shakespeare scholars in some of the DW and DT communities who just claim they know everything about Shakespeare and hence are the perfect person to ask if you want to know everything about DT's time with the RSC and about the audio plays he did. Heck, 99% of these people can't even spell Shakespeare right! I did my bachelor on Shakespeare (Freud and Hamlet are not my best friends anymore!), but I am not out there claiming to be a Shakespeare scholar cause unless you are a professor in that field, you are not a Shakespeare scholar in my eyes.

Would those be the same people who told me I'm not 'seasoned' enough to beta for them although I have the two degrees in writing and actually write daily for a living?

Oops. Sorry. Guess I'm not over that yet. ;)

Let me know what you find. *g*

Yeah, some people are really absolutely strange. They should have been honored if someone with your expertise (and I probably misspelled that...) offered to beta for them. Blah! But that's their fault, right?

I am not over the fact that a 16 year old told me yesterday that she was a Shakespeer (spelled like that!) scholar because she read Juliet in school in class. Oh dear Lord, yes RIGHT!

Yeah, I tend to ignore 90% of the posts if not more in the communities I've joined. I do like [livejournal.com profile] who_daily which is like the DW version of Farscape Weekly.
