Alle Shows haben durch den Writer's Strike bis zu 30% an Zuschauer verloren. Im Vergleich zu Close to Home, das letztes Jahr auf dem Sendeplatz lief, hatte Moonlight ungefähr die gleichen Einschaltquoten. Wenn du dann aber davon ausgehsts, daß alle Shows weniger Einschaltquoten hatten, dann waren die ja eigentlich besser als letztes Jahr. Ich denke, es lag wohl sowohl daran als auch an dieser doofen Gelddebatte zwischen WB und CBS. Ist nicht die erste Show, die deshalb zu Grunde ging und nicht wegen der Quoten (FARSCAPE *heul*). Ich glaube, wenn das mit dem Geld nicht aufgekommen wäre, würd's ne zweite Staffel von Moonlight geben. Ich kann mir nämlich echt nicht vorstellen, daß WB und CBS erst ne ganze Menge Geld für Promotionzwecke ausgeben (die ganzen cons, die Alex und Jason in den letzten Wochen besucht haben) um dann hinterher zu sagen, ätschi bätsch. Weil das Promotiongeld ist ja jetzt echt in den Sand gesetzt!

Und ich liebe Farscape! Ich hoffe aber total, daß Moonlight nicht mit so einem Cliffhanger wie Farscape aufhört. Himmel, der war AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! So nach dem Motto, Beth macht den Kofferraum auf, da liegt Josh, es fallen Schüsse und "to be continued". Nur da gab's für mehrere Jahre kein "to be continued".....
Doch, bei Farscape kam danach noch ne Miniseries, aber erst fast 3 Jahre später. Da wurde der Cliffhanger und die meisten anderen "loose ends" dann abgearbeitet. War aber halt nicht ne ganze Staffel und auch erst so viel später :(
Since this is Farscape all over again.... let's hope we can get a mini series as well! But dammit...... I think I really need to wait on watching new shows until they are cancelled. Then I at least know what I am getting myself into! And all this the day before I am flying to Denver *rant*
Sorry to hear that you're upset over the cancellation. Unfortunately it's a numbers game with the networks here and I guess it didn't keep the ratings CBS wanted.
I actually thought for a second it was going to renewed, if not for a full season, possibly a shortened one, but I guess that's out of the question.
I wonder how long the episodes will stay on their websites since I kind of haven't kept up with the show.
