First off, thank goodness I opened the box tonight and not on Saturday when I actually need the stuff that I ordered!
Last Wednesday, I ordered some stuff so I can mount my satellite dish to the balcony railing - meaning I have to drill no holes. The shop said, if you order before 1pm, they ship the same day and you most likely receive your order the next. Well, I drove home on Thursday for the weekend so I expected the order to be here when i got back Sunday. Go figure, no box here on Sunday, and no note that UPS had dropped by and couldn't deliver. Figure okay, wait Monday.... I wait Monday, still no delivery. I called the shop, and they gave me a tracking number for the package. Well, UPS apparently tried to deliver on Saturday and on Monday but no one was home so they left a note. BS! My roomy was home all Saturday, and I was home all Monday and I had NO notes whatsoever that UPS tried to deliver something! So I called UPS this morning and bitched to the lady on the phone (who was very rude herself before I started bitching, otherwise I probably would have be nicer myself). She said she'd sent the driver by within the next hour. 3 hours later, the driver *finally* came by and dropped of my box. Since all the stuff was nicely packed, I figured I would just leave it like that. Well, curiosity got the better of me tonight and I dug into the box. And much to my dismay, I found half of the stuff I had ordered missing! The box was still sealed from when it was packed, so UPS didn't lose anything. I could do without the cable that is missing, and it was only a buck 50 for the cable, so I wouldn't really complain about that, but the most important part of the balcony mounting system is missing! I got the mast and I got the balcony hook, but they forgot to deliver the pipes that actually connect the mast to the hook. The screws are all there for those pipes, but not the pipes themselves. GRRRRRRR! What do you do with a mast and a balcony mount if the shop forgets to include the stuff that connects both? The picture in their shop, plus the instructions mention the connection pipes, plus I go the screws for them. I sent the company an email a few minutes ago, and also mentioned the missing cable I ordered. I hope they'll get back to me about that soon. Grrrrr. I am pissed now.
