We were painting my new place today (quite nice actually colorwise...) and while I was on top of the ladder putting the light back at the ceiling with my dad's help, I started to tell him that I am gonna go see two plays with the Royal Shakespeare Company next year. My sister just rolled her eyes at me.... Anyways, I proceeded to tell my mom and dad that I am gonna see Patrick Stewart play in Hamlet (let's forget David Tennant for a moment cause they have no clue who he is...). My sister immediately was like "Who's Patrick Stewart?" And before I could say anything, my dad told her "It's Captain Picard, silly!" Which made me laugh out loud cause I didn't expect him to say that. Anyways, this was then prompted by my mom asking "Isn't that the guy you wanted to see play Hamlet ever since 10th grade?" *mouth drop open* She remembered! And yup, honestly, ever since 10th grade I've been telling everyone that one day I wanted to see Patrick Stewart play Hamlet. I proceeded to tell my sister that the tickets for two plays in best seating where about the same price as one ticket for O in Vegas (which she wants to see next month when we're there). And we're talking RSC and David Tennant and Patrick Stewart here. My mom thought it's quite cool that I am finally going to make my dream come true even after so many years.... almost 15 years on and I *finally* get to see Patrick Stewart in a Shakespeare play! I am utterly totally happy about this. David Tennant and Patrick Stewart in the same play AND in Hamlet nontheless.... Uhm, any of the people I intend to go with - do you know CPR? LOL

Well, I had a crush on William Ryker until I saw that episode in which Picard starts reciting Shakespeare and I was a total goner. Totally! Absolutely totally!
