Seriously, it was easier to find an apartment when I moved from Germany to the US that to find one when I am moving in the same freaking city!

I've seen about a dozen places so far, A couple were abysmal (I could have fit my futon in the room and not be able to close the door then.... who'd want to live in a closet? *shakes head*). Two called me and told me I didn't get the room - including David. They'd have let me move in, but the board only rents out the rooms to people under 30, meaning I'd have to move out in January when I turn 30 (god, that makes me feel old....). I know one won't call back, and I am quite okay with that. I hope two other people won't call back either because the rooms were rather small. Which leaves three people who I hope will call back. Well, one of them that is. Two said they'd call either today or tomorrow, one I went to see today and they will call back by next weekend. I'll continue keeping my eyes open for a place but it looks pretty bad right now. Keep your fingers crossed that one of the three that I want to call back actually will call back.

ETA: Okay, so one of the two who said they'd call back today or tomorrow did call back and again, they told me they chose someone else. All these rejections lately are not very good for my ego, dammit.

Good luck. I hope you find something soon! I know how hard it is to find someplace halfway decent and yet affordable, too.

::hugs::
