My sis quit her job mid of March because she got a new boss earlier this year who did nothing but harass and abuse her work-wise, as in he didn't do stuff that he was supposed to do so my sister ended up doing it during unpaid overtime and then she had to listen to the boss yell at her why she did his stuff which btw was most of the already weeks overdue and meant her company wouldn't be paid for the service they provided because it wasn't turned in on time.

Anyways, my sister had a job interview at a place where she really really really wanted to work. It's always been her dream to work there. She sent off an application and they invited her in for an interview first week of April. They had one open position to fill, but several hundred people applying out of which they invited fifty for an interview. They told my sister they would let her know by the end of last week if she got the job or not. Well, they didn't call, so my sis expected she didn't get the job.

I was just on the phone with her about something else when another call came in and she put me on hold for a few minutes. When she came back, she was so erratic I couldn't understand one word of what she was saying and I had to tell her to calm down.

She got the job!!!!!

She'll start working there on June 1st! I am so happy for her! The place where she'll work is a highly credited psych ward in Germany that also deals with alzheimer psychosis which is what my sister wants to specialize in. They have people come in from all over Europe to listen to the Doctor's working and researching in that institute. She won't be working in the psych ward per se, but in the ward that specializes in Alzheimer patients of all ages. This is the place where you can send someone who needs special treatment because they are delusional most of the time, but not yet in need of special care because they are bed ridden.

I am so happy for her!

It probably will be! She doesn't have as many responsibilities as before - she doesn't need to clean up after the boss anymore! The working hours are much better as well and the clinic is top notch!

I might have to add the weirdo girl with the screwdriver from SF cause otherwise she may think it's LTG LOLOL

Well, if LTG chimes in with a congrats, then it could be either of us. =D

She loves what she is doing. She's loves being with the people. It really took her a long time to finally quit her job because she liked her co-workers and loved the people she worked with. But her boss just made it unbearable. She doesn't have a very stable immune system cause she's been majorly sick for quite some time so whenever she gets really stressed, she's prone to catch whatever goes around at that moment. She's been sick 6 times since Christmas. During her 3 years training when she worked at another place, she wasn't sick that often.

Oh, she sounds like me and my co-workers. We all talk about leaving together. *grin* Ah, it's a good thing she quit then...getting sick from stress is no way to live. I'm sure life will be much better when she's happy and healthy. *grin*

A bunch of people quit with her. The company she worked for is aware of the problem with the boss. They cannot fire him though since he's 50% handicapped since an accident that happened on worktime. If they fire him, he can go to court and sue them. The only way they can get rid of him is to go to court themselves to get the court to release a statement that gets his fired. It pretty much sucks. But at least she now got the job she wanted from the beginning!

So, I guess it worked well to help point her in the right direction! *grin*
