Fund raisers - what would you do to raise money?

My dance group is in dire need of new costumes. Our old ones are almost 20 years old and there is not one costume left without holes, discoloration or other defects. Our dance company cannot afford to pay for our new costumes which are going to be close to 200 bucks a piece. Our kids group got new costumes a couple years ago and they sold muffins, cookies and pies. However, they were only able to raise about 300 bucks towards the 4 grands they needed for their costumes, meaning the company had to cover the rest. Which pretty much is our dilemma now cause there is no money left for us. If we don't want to go naked for our next performance, we have to find a way to raise about 2 grands. We thought about printing shirts ourselves with comic and action figures on them (all original characters so we won't have to deal with copyright) and sell them, but that pretty much is up in the air still.

So I was wondering - what would you guys do for a fund raiser? I know if we are able to raise at least a grand, we'll find means to cover the rest. But we have pretty much NO idea what to do!
