My co-worker's father died late last night.... well, the real problem in that is that he lived in Monaco, and my co-worker now needs to fly to Monaco, arrange a funeral, get things sorted out and all that stuff. She's the manager in charge at the store,  meaning a lot of things are going to be left undone while she is gone - last month's paycheck included. I don't really if I get it a week late since I am not in desperate need of it right now, but since my co-worker will be gone for a week at least, I have to pull double shifts. The other two girls working in the store are helping out by covering a few shifts, but they don't have the knowledge to manage a store. You know, do orders, take care of invoices and all the likes. So I have to pull a few extra shifts to do the manager work - meaning I get to go in tomorrow morning to cover a shift and do last month's bookkeeping which came back from the main boss this afternoon. Oh joy. It's gonna be a bit tricky with me pulling double shifts next week since I really only allowed to work 3 days a week, otherwise I'll get over my allowed limit of 400 bucks a month (which is all I am allowed to earn as a student without having to pay horrendous taxes). I am thinking about just leaving my co-workers name on the working chart and not switch them out with whoever took over and swipe her keycard for work so she gets paid and can then give us the money out of her paycheck. Would be a lot easier. and I wouldn't have to worry about maybe getting all that excess money over 400 bucks that I am earning either in a month when I don't earn 400 bucks (which is unlikely) or after I have quit..... I was already 50 bucks over last month, and I think I am gonna be 50 bucks over this month again without doing those extra shifts. But then, I am gonna miss a week and a half next month because I am going to Vegas, so technically I should be under 400 bucks then and be paid that money. Hopefully. If I am gonna get screwed, I am gonna take advantage of that new free law advisory service at university. They even sue people LOL
